What traits does Generation X share with other generations?

I find when I’m working with different generations that each generation has some similarities to both the previous and the next generations, and Generation X seems to be no exception. I find Generation X’ers are independent and hardworking like the Baby Boomers (although they wouldn’t want to work 60 hours a week) and they are also well educated, comfortable with diversity, and desire a good work / play balance and flexibility like Generation Y.
